This privacy notice for Journey Technology LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share (“process”) your information when you use our services (“Services”), such as when you visit our website or engage with us in other related ways, including any sales, marketing, or events.

1. What Information Do We Collect?

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:

Information Automatically Collected. We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

7. Do We Collect Information from Minors?

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent's use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. 8. What Are Your Privacy Rights?

If you are a resident in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom (UK) and you believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

Withdrawing your consent: If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at info@journey-technology.com. However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

Opting out of marketing communications: You can unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional communications at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send, or by contacting us at info@journey-technology.com. You will then be removed from the marketing lists. However, we may still communicate with you for service-related purposes.

9. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.

10. Do California Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?

Yes. California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year.

If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with the Services, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Services.

CCPA Privacy Notice. The California Code of Regulations defines a “resident” as any natural person who is in the State of California for other than a temporary or transitory purpose, and any natural person who is domiciled in the State of California who is outside the State of California for a temporary or transitory purpose.

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Category A: Identifiers. Contact details, such as real name, alias, postal address, telephone or mobile contact number, unique personal identifier, online identifier, Internet Protocol address, email address, and account name.
  • Category B: Personal information categories listed in the California Customer Records statute. Name, contact information, education, employment, employment history, and financial information.

Personal information collected is retained for a maximum of 7 years or as otherwise required by law.

11. Do Virginia Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?

Yes. Under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (CDPA), Virginia residents have certain rights regarding their personal data. You may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether or not we are processing your personal data
  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccuracies in your personal data
  • Delete your personal data
  • Obtain a copy of your personal data that you previously shared with us
  • Opt out of the processing of your personal data for purposes of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling

Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Last updated” date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. We encourage you to review this privacy notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
